Heidi Friesen

Attended AYF 1977-82.

Went to Waterton twice - don't remember the exact years.

Graduated from OHS in 1982.

Went to Columbia Bible Institute from 1982-84 where I met Jeff Suderman. After Columbia I spent a summer volunteering in Taiwan at the Mennonite Christian Hospital where my parents had worked. I stayed with my brother Han and had a very fun memorable summer.  Jeff and started university at UBC in 1984 and we got married in 1987. I completed a BA in psych and Jeff a BA in history in 1988. We both worked for a year and then moved to London, Ontario in 1989. Jeff completed his MA and PhD in history and went back to school to become an OT. We moved back west in 1998, first to Red Deer and then Calgary where we've lived since 2001. I've been an OT for 24 years. I work at the Foothills Hospital and Jeff teaches history at Mount Royal University. 

We don't have children. We enjoy being aunt and uncle to four nieces. And we have been parents to furry felines over the years of which we currently have two. We really enjoy travelling and have primarily been doing trips to Europe. I try to do as much crafting and yoga as I can and working in our yard and garden.
